The readings for September will be:
- From Chesterton’s Autobiography, Chapter XIV Portrait of a Friend, written in homage to Hilaire Belloc.
- And from his book, The Outline of Sanity, his essay, The Bluff of the Big Shops (see the attachment for a readable copy)
The Outline of Sanity is one of Chesterton’s main books on Distributism. Check out this essay from the Society of Gilbert Keith Chesterton website about the book, which it says is the “Textbook for Distributism.”
There’s an idea for a future book to read. We’re almost done with the Autobiography.
