Our next meeting will be Tuesday evening, January, the 10th. It will be at the usual time, right after the evening Mass at St. Stephen the First Martyr Catholic Church, approximately 7:30 pm in classroom 2 (or 3).

We are currently reading The Everlasting Man. This month we will be discussing Chapter 4 of Part II, “The Witness of the Heretics“.

The Father Brown story we are reading is “The Mask of Midas“. This story was discovered in Chesterton’s papers after his death is 1936. It has never been included in any of the anthologies of the Father Brown stories, but was published separately that same year.

If you want a hard copy, I’m sure Tish can get you what you are looking for. And, while we’re at it, HERE’S an Introduction to The Ballad of the White Horse by Dale Ahlquist. There are lots and lots of audiobooks, readings on youtube videos – there’s even a musical composition, The Song of the White Horse, which was commissioned by BBC back in the 70s and which uses Chesterton’s poem as its lyrics.
