THANK YOU!

I want to extend my warmest gratitude to all of the many parishioners that made the Pig Roast possible this year. As you may know, preparations for our parish festival begin months in advance, and require the time and attention of many dozens of people. I am particularly grateful to the Santanas for organizing the festival this year, and I am so edified to hear from them that they had a great abundance of volunteers.

If you are new to the parish, volunteering for parish events can be a great way to introduce yourself to other families in the community! Please consider volunteering for one of our many annual events: the Pig Roast, the Chesterton event, the All Hallow’s Eve party, the Christmas party, the Italian Dinner, just to name a few!

MONEY TO THE POOR

In the exercise of charity, just a reminder not to give money to the poor that happen upon our campus here at St. Stephen’s. We have had some difficulty with a man that was given money and has been returning and acting in a belligerent manner when money is not given to him. It can be a good practice to keep some packaged food or bottles of water on hand in the car to give away where there is a real need.

ADULT CATECHISM

Please invite a family member, friend, or co-worker to our adult catechism classes, which begin soon! Our first class is this Thursday, August 11 at 7 pm, in the parish hall. Anyone is welcome to attend, but those looking to receive Sacraments should register if possible. Forms and schedules are available in the parish bookstore, or you can have someone e-mail Fr Curtis at frcurtis@fssp.com.
